What is V-face lifting?
V-face lifting refers to tightening and slimming the jawline to give your face a V-shaped silhouette. This effect has been sought after in Asian beauty trends for years and is now immensely popular in Europe as well – partly thanks to electric facial devices you can use at home.
How does an electric V-face device work?
An electric V-face lifting device uses EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) and/or microcurrent technology. These weak electrical currents stimulate the facial muscles in the same way a workout does – but for your face.
The benefits of EMS for your face:
- Firms and tones the jaw muscles
- Reduces the appearance of a double chin
- Improves lymphatic drainage and reduces puffiness
- Stimulates blood circulation for a healthy glow
- Reduces fine lines through muscle activation
Does it really work?
Yes – but with nuance. EMS and microcurrent are scientifically proven technologies that have been used for decades in physical therapy and professional beauty salons. At-home devices are less powerful than professional equipment, but with consistent use (daily or 5 times a week), results are visible.
What you can realistically expect:
- After 2 weeks: improved blood circulation, less puffiness
- After 4 weeks: visibly firmer facial contour
- After 8 weeks: clearly defined jawline and reduced sagging
How to use it correctly?
- Apply a conductive gel or serum to your skin – this improves contact and effectiveness.
- Move the device slowly along your jawline, from chin to ear.
- Use it for 10 to 15 minutes per session.
- Repeat daily or at least 5 times a week.
- Clean the device after use.
Who is it suitable for?
V-face devices are suitable for anyone who wants to define their jawline, reduce puffiness, or firm their skin. It is non-invasive, painless, and has no recovery time. Not recommended for people with a pacemaker or metal implants in the face.
